I dont think they aired this locally in the Bay Area. I tried to watch it, but something else was on. Did anyone else get a chance to see it?
RE: The Rise and Fall of Islamic Spain.
I am very interested in the mathematics of aesthetics. Recently I saw the tail end of a film on the Islamic-Spanish connections. It immediately interested me because the buildings depicted “Golden Reactangles” but with a ratio of 1: 1.425 instead of the 1:1.618… normally associated with Golden ratios. Is there someone who has knowledge concerning this “new development”? If I could send images of these ratios, it might make the matter clearer.
