RE: The Rise and Fall of Islamic Spain.
I am very interested in the mathematics of aesthetics. Recently I saw the tail end of a film on the Islamic-Spanish connections. It immediately interested me because the buildings depicted "Golden Reactangles" but with a ratio of 1: 1.425 instead of the 1:1.618... normally associated with Golden ratios. Is there someone who has knowledge concerning this "new development"? If I could send images of these ratios, it might make the matter clearer.
