This underlines and signifies the importance of us Muslims being visible with our good actions and deeds in our communities– not by mere words. We need to be visible as role models in our own right - model neighbors, model colleagues, and model classmates etc helping the ones in need, standing for and do what is right and standing up against what is wrong. And we need to keep working on educating people around us, in our communities – one person at a time.

More importantly, this underlines the need to keep the focus and work towards the end goal, which if done with sincerity and right intention, is bound to earn the help and ultimate reward of Allah SWT.

I have a question for Obby in regards to his Crohns disease! If you can please have him e-mail me at mentioned e-mail it would be greatly appreciated.
I too have been diagnosed with ulcerative colitis/crohns have had 3 surgeries in 5 years and am awaited another one… Our cases are exactly alike. When he did his interview with the Winnipeg Free Press July 2008 I was amazed at his story and impressed that he said the reason he came forward with his story was to help other people understand the disease . I am very interested in the mathematics of aesthetics. Recently I saw the tail end of a film on the Islamic-Spanish connections. It immediately interested me because the buildings depicted “Golden Reactangles” but with a ratio of 1: 1.425 instead of the 1:1.618… normally associated with Golden ratios. Is there someone who has knowledge concerning this “new development”? If I could send images of these ratios, it might make the matter clearer.

The technical term is Anamorphic Distortion.

What happened is the images were shrunk horizontally but not vertically. Some technician somewhere shrank the images for the 16×9 ratio.

Just a tempest in a teapot.
